OWNER/LEAD SOCIAL EVENT SPECIALIST
Known for her candor, sense of humor, calm demeanor, and insanely organization skills, Shemeika immediately fell in love with event planning and design. After planning her wedding in 2007, she started her business and she never looked back! She is a Certified Wedding Planner and an active member of The Bridal Society. Her goal was, and continues to be, to create a company that is always innovative, adventurous and focuses on a highly personalized level of service. She believes that every event has a story and she loves to bring the moments to life in a creative and extraordinary way that matches the client's vision, need, and budget.
Her favorite thing about Houston is having the ability to constantly explore new places, things, and the diverse group of people that live in this great city. Outside of work, you will often find her at the gym, volunteering with various organizations, helping at her church, or indulging in good eats around the city with her husband and two boys. This city inspires her everyday, as do the amazing clients she's worked with along the way.
Catherine has always had an eye for detail and planning events for friends and family. In 2015, she experienced hands on, at her own wedding, what it took to orchestrate an event of that magnitude. That is when she truly fell in love with event planning. It was not until 2017, she gave it a shot and applied as an intern with SHE Rocks Events and the rest is history!
She graduated from University of Houston with Bachelors in Education. Catherine’s formal education, combined with her natural gifts of organization, creativity, dependability, and strong communication skills makes her an essential asset to the SRE Team.
In her spare time, Catherine enjoys photography, spending time with family and friends, and traveling. She is excited to make new connections and friends within the industry, and help tell a story through each event.
